Caliban knows the fact that Prospero destroyed Sycorax’s magic and made her die.
Because of lack of time, I could not show, but there was a scene which Stephana gave fake news to Caliban, which suggests that Prospero murdered Sycorax. Stephana was a PR agent of royal family but fired by King Alonso. Hatred for royalty connects Stephana and Caliban, and she offers him ‘I’ll marry you, little monster. If you would kill Prospero and stole his magic, then make me queen of magic industry!”.
